More recently, Jennifer was involved in researching and developing a paper into the recruitment and retention issues facing women in the ADF for the Chief of Defence Force.

In 2003, Nareen was nominated for a Human Rights Award and Medal for her leadership at the NSW Working Women’s Centre.
